Summer activities and holidays in San Vigilio di Marebbe
Hikes and excursions amidst the nature
San Vigilio di Marebbe is certainly the ideal place for those looking for an active holiday and for those who want to explore the thousands of different facets of the Dolomite mountains. The Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park provides countless possibilities. From easy walks in Rudo Valley to hikes up to the huts at Fanes or Fodara Vedla and on to the more demanding climbs to the higher peaks such as Croda del Beco (2810m) which rises above Lago di Braies lake or Sasso delle Dieci peak which, with its 3000m of altitude thrones above Val Badia.
For climbing lovers there's a climbing hall in Ciastlins or the cliffs at Pederü in the Rudo Valley.
The Ciamaor beach is just a short distance from San Vigilio and is the perfect place to relax and entertain your children.
There are also numerous cycling tracks for road bikes or for mountain bikes.
We would recommend a visit to the Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park visitor's centre in San Vigilio di Marebbe, or to the medieval castle at Tor which is now a museum (Museumladin) close to the village of San Martino in Badia.
